Airstrike on the Donetsk Regional Drama Theatre sheltering civiliansRussian aircraft dropped two 500 kg bombs on the Donetsk Regional Academic Drama Theatre, where hundreds of civilians were sheltering and the word 'ДЕТИ' ('children') had been painted on the forecourts, visible from the air. Amnesty International concluded the strike was a clear war crime. Death-toll estimates range from at least a dozen (Amnesty) to about 600 (an AP investigation, which called it the single deadliest known attack on civilians of the war).

Airstrike on Mariupol Maternity Hospital No. 3A Russian airstrike hit Maternity Hospital No. 3, a complex serving as both a children's hospital and maternity ward, killing at least four people including a child, causing at least one stillbirth, and wounding at least 17 — among them women in labour. The OSCE Moscow Mechanism and Truth Hounds concluded the strike was a war crime; Russia falsely claimed the scene was 'staged'.
