Demonstration prototype — the incidents and testimonies shown are examples illustrating how the tool works.

The project

Document, cross-reference, transmit

This map gathers, category by category, the war crimes committed by Russian forces since the beginning of the aggression against Ukraine in 2014. Every incident is tied to a place, a date and a legal qualification, so the corpus can be queried across dimensions: for instance the destruction of hospitals in a given region between two dates.

Testimonies

10 testimonies are attached to the documented places. In the production version, each one links to a video interview and to the incidents it describes.

Data and sources

The dataset shown here is a demonstration set. Its structure mirrors a real database, so a verified corpus can replace it without redesigning the interface. Each language is stored as a separate field, exactly as a multilingual database would.
